Prom Dress Giveaway Threads, Hope and Love is having a prom dress giveaway in March for girls who are not able to afford a prom dress. If you have any formals, prom shoes, jewelry, or accessories that you won’t be using anymore, please donate them to Threads, Hope and Love. Your donations can be hung on the clothes rack or placed in the drop box outside the office. Donations will also be accepted at Threads every Wednesday from 11 am to 7 pm. If you have questions please call Threads at 309-303-0205. Thank you for any support you can give to help girls have a special prom night.
High School Rock Climbing is Sunday, February 12th For only $15 you and friends get to rock climb at Upper Limits in Bloomington from 6-9 pm. Meet at Our Savior at 5 pm and we should be back by 10 pm. This is a joint-church event with Trinity Lutheran and Christ Lutheran in Peoria. Supper will be provided! You must sign up by Wednesday, February first if you want to go PLUS you must have a signed liability waiver from Upper Limits. This form is on the Welcome Table in the Narthex, available in the Youth Room, or from Carissa!
Bible Club for 5th & 6th Graders 5th and 6th graders have a great opportunity to grow in faith during the week. Join Bible Club every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the youth room. All you need to bring is your Bible, a snack to share with the entire group, and a good attitude! If you have any questions about Bible Club, please call the church office at 444-4030.
2012 UKANDU Mission Trip Save the date—June 17 through June 23—for the 2012 UKANDU Mission Trip. Registration has been moved up several months from last year so start prayerfully considering joining the OSL Mission Team! Information, registration dates, and registration forms for this amazing trip have been placed on the Welcome Table in the Church Narthex. A meeting with even more details will take place in early January!
Boys Night out The board of youth is sponsoring a “Boys Night Out” for men and boys of all ages to a Riverman Hockey Game on Friday, February 10th. The game starts at 7 pm. Cost is $6 per ticket for a seat in the lower bowl, which also includes a hot dog and soda. The seats are just 5 to 7 rows off the ice! Sign up on the bulletin board in the church Narthex by or on Sunday, January 15th.
